Ayodhya Deepotsav 2025 to become biggest event yet, target to lay more than 60 percent lamps achieved

Ayodhya, October 17 (IANS). Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state government is busy making the ninth Deepotsav of Ayodhya in 2025 the most grand, divine and historic ever. Preparations for this grand festival which will be lit up with the glow of lamps in the city of Lord Shri Ram are in the final stages. Under the leadership of the chief minister, dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University, Ayodhya plays an important role in this regionalized festival of lights. Under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Colonel Dr. Bijendra Singh, the team of university teachers and thousands of volunteers set a new example of service and dedication at the Deepotsav site for the second day on Friday. From 10 am, volunteers were sent to Ram Ki Paidi in reserve buses from the university campus. Traffic coordinator prof. Anoop Kumar told that a large number of volunteers were present since morning, whose enthusiasm and energy resonated with the entire campus. All the volunteers were divided into designated groups and sent to the Deepotsav site so that the work of laying lamps on the ghats could be done in an organized manner. Vice Chancellor Colonel Dr. Bijendra Singh reached the site of Deepotsav and conducted a thorough inspection of all the ghats along with several teams. He said, “Deepotsav is not just an event but a people’s celebration of the dignity and ideals of Lord Shri Ram. Considered as Ramkaaz, every volunteer contributes wholeheartedly.” The university team said that more than 60 percent of the lamps have been laid at present, while many ghats have completed their set target today itself. The work of decorating lamps is going on at a brisk pace under the supervision of ghat in-charges and coordinators at all 56 ghats. Many senior teachers and officials of the university were also present during this grand preparation, along with a large number of teachers and volunteers. Amidst the arrangement of lamps everywhere, reverberation of faith and chants of ‘Jai Shri Ram’, this scene makes it clear that as per the intention of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Ayodhya Deepotsav 2025 will give birth to a chapter that will be remembered for years to come. –IANS DKP/ Share this story Tags
