Odisha: Vigilance against the new Gulf of Kovid-19, the government strengthens the monitoring and prevention measures

Bhubaneswar, June 6 (IANS). In light of a new wave of Kovid-19 infection, the Odisha government has strengthened its monitoring and prevention measures to ensure the protection of public health throughout the state. According to the latest data released by the Department of Health, a total of 755 samples were tested in Odisha by June 6, of which 38 samples were found positive. Nine of these people are healed, while the remaining 29 patients are in the home isolation and their condition is stable. The state government has taken quick steps to strengthen its strategies according to the central government guidelines. A high -level virtual assessment meeting was held on June 3 chaired by Dr. Sunita Sharma, Director General of Health and Health Services, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), National Disease Control Center (NCDC), state monitoring units and various state authorities. The purpose of the meeting was to judge the current status of Kovid-19 and further strengthen the preparations at national level. The central government has instructed all states to strengthen healthcare systems. This includes sufficient oxygen supply, ventilator, insulation beds and availability of essential medicine. The Odisha government has committed to following these guidelines strictly. The monitoring of diseases (ilis) and severe acute respiratory infections (sari) have been reinforced in the state. Positive samples are sent for complete genome sequence so that new variants of the virus can be identified. The Department of Health has called on the people to adopt Covid-appropriate behavior, including regular hand washing, cough label, self-deception and avoiding overcrowded places in the event of symptoms. The Odisha government has also made it clear that it is committed to implementing all the center’s precautions to reduce the impact of this new Gulf of Kovid-19. The Minister of State Health has requested people to avoid nervousness and rely on verified sources, such as the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, and the official Bulletin. He said: “We carefully monitor the situation and take all necessary steps. People’s cooperation and awareness will be important in dealing with this challenge.” To control the position of Kovid-19 in Odisha, the Department of Health also introduced helpline numbers and online portals, where people can find information related to symptoms, testing and treatment. Experts believe that timely supervision, vaccination and covid-appropriate behavior can play an important role in controlling this wave. The state government has also ensured that health services in rural and urban areas are accessible.
