Bahlil called MBG a Noble Program: When I was in college, I was always hungry
Jakarta – General chairman of the Golkar Party, Bahlil Lahadalia, confirmed that his party will monitor every government policy. Bahlil spoke about the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program which he considered very noble. This was conveyed by Bahlil at the 61st party thanksgiving event at DPP Golkar, Slipi, West Jakarta, Monday (20/10/2025). Bahlil told a story about when the school did not get nutritious food. “We are also consistent in monitoring various policies implemented by the government. This nutritious food is a noble program. Coincidentally, I once felt that I did not get enough nutritious food during the school process,” Bahlil said in his speech. He assessed that the MBG program was able to increase the intelligence of the country’s children. “Once when I was in college, I was hungry. Well, with this MBG program, in my opinion, it is a noble program and is able to improve nutrition and intelligence for our children in the future,” he said. The Indonesian Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources said Golkar will oversee the Red and White Cooperative Program to achieve food self-sufficiency. According to him, this program still needs to be socialized to the community. “Then there are red and white cooperatives, energy security, food self-sufficiency, people’s schools, red and white cooperatives. This is a part that must also be encouraged and socialized and make all the President’s priority programs a success,” he added.
