Great disclosure in the study, antidepressant will now be helpful in treating cancer

New -delhi, May 22 (IANS). Researchers in the US have identified an antidepressant used to treat depression, which can help with cancer treatment. It can help shorten cancer crops (lumps) and fight the immunity of the body. It can benefit patients. Selective serotonin reticing hesatives (SSRIs) are usually given medicines to cure depression and tension. This medicine affects our brain and improves the mood. Researchers at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), found that this medicine not only affects the brain but also our immune system. This especially makes T -cells more powerful, allowing their cancer cells to better eliminate. In a study published in the journal Cell, researchers tested SSRI on mice and tumor models. He performed these tests on melanoma, breast, prostate, colon and bladder cancer. As a result, this medicine has been observed to help the immune system fight these cancers and prevent crops from growing. They found that when SSRI medicine was given to cancer patients, the size of the crop decreased by more than 50 percent. And the t -cells of the body became even stronger and effective. This medicine of depression not only shortens the crop, but also makes the body’s defense system so powerful that it can fight itself well. Dr Lily Yang, senior writer and member of Elie and Edith Broad Center of Regimenal Medicine and Voice Sales Research in UCLA, said: “SSRI medicine not only makes our brain happy, but it also makes us strong.” Yang and his team began to find a relationship with cancer serotonin when they noticed that the immune cells extracted from the crop contain a large number of elements to control serotonin. Initially, Dr. Yang and his team focused on an enzyme called Mao-A, which eliminates chemicals such as serotonin, dopamines and norpinephrine in our body. These chemicals help control our brain and mood. Although medicines that occur Mao-A have also been investigated, they have serious side effects. The researchers therefore decided that they would draw their attention to another molecule called cert, which controls the level of serotonin in the body. Dr. Above Lee, the scientist in Yang’s research team, said: “Mao-A eliminates many types of chemicals, but cert is just one task of moving serotonin from one place to another.” Dr. Above Lee said: “It was especially attractive to pay attention to cert because the medicine is used for it, that is, SSRI, they are already used a lot and their side effects are very little.” Researchers said that “the mixture of SSRI and cancer medicine reduced the size of the crop to a large extent and in some cases even when the crop was completely done.” To confirm these results, the team will notice whether SSRIs will be given to real cancer patients, whether their treatment is found or not. -Ians PK/AS
