Barantin releases the export of 6.2 tonnes of processed Swallow's Nest to Vietnam
Jakarta – The Indonesian quarantine agency (barantin) by the DKI Jakarta Animal, Fish and Plant Quarantine Center (Jakarta Quarantine) has exported 25 thousand bottles of processed Swallow’s Nest (SBW) products weighing 6.2 tonnes to Vietnam. The export value of products derived from Swallow’s nests reaches IDR 1 billion. Head of the Indonesian quarantine agency (barantin) Saat M Panggabean said that exporting derivative products from Swallow’s nests are the first one to be exported. So far, Swallow’s nests have been sold and exported in raw form or semi-finished materials processed by buyers abroad. “Why is this important, first, this is the first time our downstream export of Swiftlet Nest products. The downstream of Swallow’s nests is in line with Mr President Prabowo. Swallow’s nests from Indonesia were exported to different countries, such as China, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Macau, Singapore, Malaysia, the United States, Japan and South Korea. “Based on the best trust data, the total export volume of SBW is for the January-September 2025 894.86 tonnes period.
