Barmer-Balotra MP Sports Mahotsav 2025 event creates political ruckus, knows in the footage Umedaram seeks reply from Collector

Controversy is rising over the Sansad Sports Mahotsav 2025 organized in Barmer and Balotra. MP Umedaram Beniwal has written a letter to the district collector about this occurrence, seeking clarification. He took this step with the aim of ensuring transparency in the execution of the festival and the programme. MP Beniwal said in the letter that he has some questions about the organization and functioning of the sports festival and he needs clear information about it. He expected the collector to provide him with complete information about the rules of the event, selection of participants and outline of the program. In response, former MP Kailash Chaudhary said there is no jealousy in this. He said: “Writing the letter is their mentality. I am doing my job, those protesting must also do their job.” Kailash Choudhary is the organizer of this sports festival and he said that the objective of the festival is to provide a platform to young talents and promote sports activities. Sansad Khel Mahotsav 2025 is going on in both the districts, Barmer and Balotra. The festival consists of various sports competitions, cultural programs and events to encourage the youth. In the framework of the event, special arrangements were made to make the processes of selection of participants, distribution of awards and execution of the program transparent. This festival is considered an important event for the local people and young players. Through this program the youth get an opportunity to participate in sports and showcase their talent. At the same time, this festival was sometimes in the headlines due to political controversies. Experts say that programs like Sansad Khel Mahotsav are important for social and sports development. However, when political interference and opposition become involved, the operation of the program can be affected. Therefore, it is important for the organizers and relevant authorities to ensure transparency and compliance with the rules. Barmer and Balotra district administration tried to resolve this dispute peacefully. Based on the letter sent to the Collector, the administration sought information on all aspects of the event and said that the smooth running of the festival will be ensured by communicating with all the parties involved. In this matter, both MP Umedaram Beniwal and former MP Kailash Chaudhary explained their positions. Despite this, local youth and sports fans are hopeful that despite political differences, the festival will be completed successfully and the youth will take full advantage of it. Meetings are likely to be held in the coming days between the district administration and MPs, in which the execution of the festival and ensuring transparency will be discussed. This will ensure that the objective of the Khel Mahotsav 2025, i.e. encouraging the youth in sports and cultural activities, is fully achieved.
