Bastar Dussehra: Mahaparva starts with the 700 -year -old tradition, Kachhan Gadi Ritual tied up

Jagdalpur, September 21 (IANS). The world -famous Bastar’s Mahaparva Dussehra began on Sunday night for his unique and attractive traditions. The 75 -Day Festival started with a special ritual from Kachhan Gadi, which is about 700 years going. This tradition is still played with full faith and reverence. In this ritual, the minor virgin of a specific family of scheduled role players allows the Bastar Royal family to start Dussehra by lying on a swing of girl dorns. Kachnadevi itself is believed to enter into this girl and bless the Mahaparva to make the Mahaparva uninterrupted. This year, 10 -year -old Pihu allowed to start the festival by taking the form of Kachhandevi. Kamalchand Bhanjadev, a member of Bastar Royal Family, said that Pitramoksha Amavasya, every day before Navratri, gets permission to celebrate the royal family Dussehra every year by performing the Kachhan Gadi ritual. He said that Bastar Dussehra is known in the world for his cultural and spiritual heritage. This festival lasts 75 days and has more than 12 rituals, which are known for their unique qualities.
