Kolkata, October 8 (IANS). Western -Bengal Governor Anand Bose condemned the attack on the BJP MP and MLA. He said that the situation in Bengal is not good. Western Beengal Governor CV Anand Bose said on Wednesday that the attack on BJP Lok Sabha member Khagen Murmu and the party’s chief whip on Monday showed the distance between the state administration and the people. Governor Bose spoke to Ians, saying, “The situation is not good at Bengal. There is a distance between the government and the people.” He said the attack on Murmu and Ghosh was not just an attack on BJP. The governor said: “There was an attack on a tribe, which shows that elected representatives are not safe in the Western Bengals. This means that democracy is not safe in Bengal.” The Governor said he had informed President Draupadi Murmu about the situation in the Western Bengals. When law and order are violated and the culprits are not caught, it shows the police’s failure. The police are working under the state government, which according to the Constitution of India has the primary responsibility to maintain law and order. These issues must be addressed by appropriate authorities in constitutional and legal ways. According to him, there are established legal provisions, judicial mechanisms and decisions of the Supreme Court for such actions. He said that I believe that we are an adult democracy and that appropriate decisions will be made in a proper way. “What is needed will be done to ensure the safety of the MLAs and elected representatives, and the relevant authorities will be notified to take the necessary and coordinated action,” evil said.
