Bengaluru Shocker! The 24-year-old woman who is sexually harassed in Whitefield PG has arrested police accused
In a horrific incident, a 24-year-old woman was stabbed a 24-year-old woman on Tuesday and sexually abused during the paying guest accommodation of White Rose, on Tuesday in Bengaluru’s Whitefield area, Times of India reports. The report states that the accused was identified as Sai Babu Chennuru. After the incident, PG management allegedly assaulted him the same night. Police said the incident occurred at Pro4Living, a co-living PG where both Chennuru and the victim remain. Police have registered an official complaint and a counter-charge, and Chennuru has been arrested. The report further added that the victim gave a statement to the police from her hospital bed. She mentions that she has stayed with the PG for the past three months and works as a private bank employee. About the incident: The victim told police she heard about 3am that someone was ringing her doorbell. When she opened the door, the accused came in and closed from the inside. He then pulls out a knife and threatens her. Shortly thereafter, he stabbed her to the left of her back and she collapsed. Later, the accused stripped her and took some pictures of her and allegedly demanded that she had sex with him. When she denied, he threatened to kill her and himself. When she said he was on her periods and could accept the threat the next day. After that, Sai allegedly demanded £ 70,000 from her, and she said she would borrow money from friends in the morning. Then Sai allegedly took her phone and transferred £ 14,000 from her UPI app to his account, the report said. Sai left the room with a threat to reveal the incident to anyone, otherwise he would send her photos to her parents and friends. At around 7am, she was taken to the hospital when she called her male friend, where her treatment was underway. Based on her complaint, the police registered a case on the basis of an attempt to kill, assault or use criminal power on a woman for the purpose of indignantly indignanting her modesty, sexual harassment and extortion. On September 17, Sai also filed a cross charge against the woman, claiming that he and the victim have been in a relationship for the past two months. He claims to have a fight after which he left the room, and at about 10:30 a.m., the PG management confronted him. He also claimed to have been orally abused and assaulted, adding that he sustained injuries on his hands, legs and face. Sai said he called the police with the help of other residents of the PG at about 6am, who took him to a private hospital. Based on his complaint, a case of assault is registered against five people.
