Digital Life Certification Campaign brought a revolution in pension distribution: Jitendra Singh
New -Delhi, May 17 (IANS). Digital Life Certification campaign has done the job to bring revolution into pension distribution. Jitendra Singh, Minister of State Science and Technology (independent charge) made this statement. Singh said technology is used to make it easier to get pension for the elderly in this campaign. Many old rules that impede this process have also been abolished. Crores of pensioners have benefited from making the pension process easier. Singh said: “The Digital Life Certification campaign has made the pension distribution a revolution by enabling elderly pensioners to verify their identity using facial recognition technology, which has the need to physically go into bank branches.” He added: “There has also been significant progress in simplifying administrative processes, including single pension form, Unified Fellowship Application Portal and the abolition of more than 1,600 old rules.” Singh addressed the IAS pupils and civil servants at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Administration Academy (LBSNAA) in Mussaors, and explained several important reforms that began to increase transparency, access and efficiency in the distribution of public service. He said that the government’s recruitment investigation is now being conducted in 13 regional languages to promote the inclusion. The Union Minister also talked about the plan to expand it in all 22 scheduled languages recognized by the Constitution. Interviews for some posts of Group B and C have ended to ensure equal opportunities, which will promote the qualification -based selection.
