Sudden flood in the village of Kullu, five houses damaged

The disastrous flooding in the Nuni Distribution of Urutu Village under Rahanu Panchayat of Nirmand subdivision of the Kullu district caused widespread destruction and many families became homeless. This flood caused by heavy rains today has damaged five homes and also affected many other houses, shops, vehicles, cow and apple orchards. According to Rahnu Panchayat Pradhan Tejashwi, heavy debris came due to sudden floods, causing the bus stand and the nearby uratu village. In Uruu, the House of Surat Ram suffered great damage, while the properties of Harish Kumar, Moti Ram, Uttam Ram, Heera Lal, Shiva Ram and Burma Devi were also affected. Apart from houses, the cow of Laji Ram, Durga Singh and Ghanshyam was also damaged. Apple orchards loaded with the fruits of Devinder Singh and Ghanshyam were also destroyed by landslides caused by heavy rain. Six shops and six standing vehicles were buried in Urutu Bazaar. Meanwhile, the houses of Beenu Ram, Jeet Ram and Hardayal, who are in danger, have been evacuated as precautions. Displaced families have received shelter in buildings and private homes in agriculture. SDM Manmohan Singh, who confirmed the loss, said that an income team was sent to judge the loss.
