A video of the Samawadi Party (SP) MP Aditya Yadav of Badaun becomes on social media viral. In this, he gave a controversial statement comparing the term of office of the SP government and the current BJP government. In the viral video, Aditya Yadav addresses a public meeting saying that ordinary people used electricity with connections during the SP government, but the electricity department officials were afraid to act. He further said: “If a common citizen in the SP government reached the police station for a little work, then the police station left his chair and stood in honor of him.” SP workers got respect and chairs in police stations. In contrast, he targeted the current BJP government and said that the law today has become a crisis for the ordinary people. People are afraid to go to the police station and the complainants are being prosecuted and fined. Aditya Yadav accused the BJP’s Double Engine government of failing in developmental works. He said that neither development nor people get relief in the BJP government. Aditya Yadav, MP of Badaun, is the son of senior SP leader Shivpal Yadav.
