BGN will implement the MBG -fast test in all sppg's - along with professional chefs work together
Jakarta – The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) will implement quick tests in all units for Nutritional Property Services (SPPG). This step is part of the efforts to strengthen hygiene and safety standards for the Free Nutritious Food (MBG) program in accordance with the guidance of President Prabowo Subianto. Head of BGN Dadan Hindayana said the fast test has been through the trial phase at 10 sppgs and expanded nationally in the near future. This step is taken to ensure that the food consumed by the public, especially schoolchildren, is truly safe and hygienic. “It is part of the president’s order that every sppg is ready to perform cleanliness tests. We have distributed the sellers’ numbers and this week the acquisition will be executed simultaneously,” Dadan said at the MBG Regional Consolidation Activity at SICC Sentul, Bogor Regency, West Java, as by Antara, Monday (13/10/2025). This quick test is one of the most important tools in standardizing nutritional monitoring and food hygiene. Dadan added that the fast test policy is a form of government responsibility to maintain the quality and public confidence in the MBG program. With the quick test, each service provider will have measurable health and hygiene data. In addition, BGN also plans to accompany 5,000 professional chefs who are members of the International Chef Association. “These chefs will help with the choice of raw materials, processing and delivery of food to meet nutritional and hygiene standards,” Dadan explained. The help of professional staff, Dadan says, is needed to ensure that all phases of food processing follow established food safety principles and nutritional standards. BGN is also preparing great budget support to strengthen the implementation of the MBG program next year. In 2026, the total budget assigned will reach 335 trillion IDR, consisting of IDR 268 Trillion main ceiling and IDR 67 trillion ready-to-use funds. “With a strong budget support and a strict monitoring system, we want to ensure that all communities receive the benefits of the MBG program with the best quality,” he said. Dadan emphasized that the combination of testing technology, professional help and fiscal support is the most important pillars for the success of the MBG program nationally. (RFS/deck)
