Big action of ACB in Rajsamand, VDO and associate caught taking bribe of Rs 15,000

As part of the ongoing campaign against corruption in Rajasthan, Rajsamand ACB took a major action on Tuesday. Village Development Officer (VDO) Jasraj of Kalesaria Panchayat of Deogarh Panchayat Samiti and his associate Tola Ram were caught red-handed while accepting a bribe of ₹15,000. This bribe was demanded in return for giving installment under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). ₹20,000 was demanded, which was settled at ₹15,000. A victim complained to Rajsamand ACB that Village Development Officer (VDO) of Kalesaria Panchayat Jasraj was demanding a bribe of ₹20,000 to pay the installment under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana). After much negotiation, the deal was finalized for ₹15,000. The victim plucked up courage and filed a complaint at Rajsamand ACB post. The ACB team verified the complaint and made a plan. ACB laid a trap and caught them red-handed. The ACB team laid an ambush led by ASP Himmat Singh Charan on Tuesday afternoon. As soon as the victim gave Rs 15,000 to VDO Jasraj and his associate Tola Ram, the ACB team caught them at the spot. ACB also seized the bribe money. Currently, the ACB team is conducting investigations at VDO Jasraj’s house and other places. Many more important revelations can be made in this search.
