The company has appointed Shailesh Chandra as the new managing director (MD) and CEO (CEO). Chandra will take over from October 1st and its term is until September 30, 2028. They will replace Girish Wagon, which limited the managing director and CEO of the newly listed unit TML commercial vehicle created for commercial vehicles. Shailesh Chandra is currently leading the Tata Passenger Electric Mobility and will also continue in this role. Under his leadership, the company’s electric vehicle business has made a strong stake in the Indian market. At the same time, Girish Wagh has been associated with Tata Motors for a long time and has played a major role in important projects such as Tata Ace and Nano. Among other important changes, the group’s CFO (CFO) PB Balaji resigned from his post on November 17 and will take over as the new CEO of Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) Automotive PLC, UK. He will be the first Indian to lead this British luxury brand. Dhiman Gupta has been appointed as the new CFO of Tata Motors in place of Balaji. In addition, the Board of Directors was also reformed, including Sudha Krishnan additional independent directors, while three old directors were withdrawn. All of these changes have been made by keeping in mind the future strategies of the business, so that both (passengers and commercial vehicles) can focus special focus on businesses.
