We are expected to start working on the two water and sewage treatment projects from December this year,” Aggarwal said in an interaction. He said the work order included a complete survey, design and construction of a modern sewage treatment plant along the Doodh-Ganga sewer, including five years of operation and maintenance. This will be an important step in restoring the ecological health of a major tributary of Jammu and Kashmir and solving long-standing civic challenges related to wastewater management. Details of the projects These two projects include: Treatment facility from Bagi-Mehtab to Alochhi Bagh: This project is worth Rs 44.07 crore and aims to increase the sewage treatment capacity in the area. Treatment facility between Chadoora and Baghi-Mehtab: This project is worth Rs 61.70 crore and will help restore the ecological health of a major tributary river of Jammu and Kashmir.
