Bihar Assembly Elections: AAP releases third list of candidates, names of 50 candidates included
Patna, October 18 (IANS). The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Saturday announced its third list of 50 candidates for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. In the third list, the names of other candidates were announced, including Shashi Bhushan Tiwari from Lauria, Arjun Kumar Sinha from Bettiah, Ghiyasuddin Samaini from Sugauli and Ranjan Kumar from Samastipur. Earlier on Tuesday, AAP released its second list, which included 48 candidates. Prem Praptat Singh was fielded from Chapra, Rajendra Prasad Singh from Lalganj, Aditya Lal from Purnia and Inderjit Jyokar from Hathua. The party’s first list included 11 candidates. Meanwhile, CPI (ML), a constituent of the grand alliance, also announced the names of 20 candidates on Saturday. Earlier, on October 16, Janata Dal United released its second list of 44 candidates, which included several prominent leaders, sitting MPs and young faces from different professional and social backgrounds across the country. With the release of this second list, JDU has intensified its election campaign across the state. Prominent names on the JDU list include Dhirendra Pratap Singh alias Rinku Singh of Valmikinagar, Leshi Singh of Dhamdaha, Jayant Raj of Amarpur, Mahabali Singh of Karakat and Sumit Kumar Singh of Chakai. Other candidates include Samriddh Verma (Sikta), Shweta Gupta (Shivohar), Pankaj Mishra (Runnisaidpur), Sudhanshu Shekhar (Harlakhi), Meena Kamat (Babubarhi), Sheela Mandal (Phulparas), Satish Sah (Laukaha), Anirudh Prasad Yad. (Nirmali), Vijendra Prasad Yadav (Supaul), Bulo Mandal (Gopalpur), Lalit Narayan Mandal. (Sultanganj), Manorama Devi (Belaganj), Chetan Anand (Navinagar), and Vibha Devi (Nawada). Elections will be held in two phases on November 6 and 11 in Bihar, the results of which will be announced on November 14. — IANS AKS/DSC
