Bihar Assembly Elections: CPI-ML released list of candidates, fielded candidates on 20 seats in two phases
Patna, October 18 (IANS). The Communist Party of India (ML), a component of the Grand Alliance, has released the list of its candidates for the Bihar Assembly elections. The party announced candidates for both the phases of the upcoming election simultaneously. Candidates were fielded on a total of 20 seats, in which both Scheduled Castes and General Category got representation. Under the first phase, CPI-ML declared candidates for 14 assembly seats. It includes major seats like Bhore, Jiradei, Darauli, Darunda, Kalyanpur, Warisnagar, Rajgir, Digha and Phulwari. The declared candidates include Dhananjay from Bhore assembly seat, Amarjeet Kushwaha from Jiradei, Satyadev Ram from Darauli, Amarnath Yadav from Daronda, Ranjit Kumar Ram from Kalyanpur, Phoolbabu Singh from Warisnagar, Vishwanath Chaudhary from Rajwanath, Digha Gautamgir, Divya, Gopal Ravidas of Phulwari, Sandeep Saurabh of Paliganj, Kyamuddin Ansari of Arrah, Shiv Prakash Ranjan of Agiaon. Madan Singh of Tarari and Ajit Kumar Singh of Dumraon. The candidates declared in the first list have submitted their nominations. Though Jitendra Paswan also filed nomination on CPI-ML ticket from Bhore seat, the party declared Dhananjay as its official candidate. Let us tell you that the last date of nomination for the first phase was 17 October. CPI-ML has finalized the names of candidates for a total of 6 seats in Phase-2. Virendra Prasad Gupta was made the candidate from the Sikta assembly seat, while Anil Kumar from Pipra (Supaul), Mehboob Alam from Balrampur, Arun Singh from Karkat, Mahanand Singh from Arwal and Ram Bali Singh Yadav from Ghosi were given tickets. It is noteworthy that CPI-ML is contesting the elections in Bihar along with the Congress-RJD, which is part of the grand alliance. However, the final decision on seat distribution between these parties has not yet been taken. This is the reason why there is a friendly fight between the candidates of the constituent parties of the Grand Alliance on many seats in the first phase. –IANS DCH/
