Bihar Congress president accused of ticket distribution thanks spokesperson Anand Madhav
Patna, October 18 (IANS). Although the situation regarding seat sharing in the grand alliance of opposition parties in Bihar is not yet clear, questions are now being raised about the tickets in the main union congress included in the grand alliance. Congress spokesperson Anand Madhav sent his resignation to the national president. Many leaders, including Anand Madhav, accused many senior leaders of the state of bias and arbitrariness on the part of the party’s state leadership regarding ticket distribution. In Patna, many leaders including Congress Research Cell president Anand Madhav, former candidate Gajanand Shahi held a press conference and made serious allegations against state chief Krishna Allavaru and Congress state unit president Rajesh Ram. These leaders said that in ticket distribution, priority was given to such faces by ignoring the grassroots workers who have been struggling for the party for years. It has been claimed that ticket distribution is done only on the basis of money power. However, no allegations were made against the national leadership. Anand Madhav said that the dedicated leaders of the party were not given tickets and confidence was given to the people who joined the party recently. In a letter to the national president, state spokesperson Anand Madhav said, “I am afraid that the party’s method of ticket distribution will yield adverse results, and we may struggle to reach double digits in the elections.” He wrote that the success of a political party depends on its principles and discipline, and not on the whims and caprices of a select few. Unfortunately, the ego of some individuals took precedence over the core values of the party. He also said that many Congress workers want to see Rahul Gandhi as the Prime Minister of India. However, the attitude of his colleagues towards ordinary workers can delay this dream. –IANS MNP/DKP Share this story Tags
