Bihar election 2025: BJP in an attempt to create caste comparison, 17 OBC, 11 extremely backward class, 9 women and 6 SC-ST candidates in the first list.
Bharatiya Janata Party released its first list for the Bihar meetings election on Tuesday, October 14. Names of 71 candidates were announced in the first list. BJP mostly included its former MAAs and ministers in this list to reach out to all social divisions. The first list contains backward, extremely backward, women, scheduled cases and scheduled tribes with more than 50 percent representation. In the list of 71 candidates, BJP included most of its former MA’s and ministers. The tickets of Arun Sinha of Kumhrar and Nand Kishore Yadav of Patna Sahib were canceled. Prem Kumar, older than 70, got the ticket from Gaya. Two leaders who lost the Lok Sabha election were made candidates for the election in the meeting. Buxar Lok Sabha candidate Mithilesh Tiwari got a ticket from Baikunthpur and Patliputra lok Sabha candidate Ram Kripal Yadav received ticket from Danapur. These MLCs also got tickets. Apart from this, prominent BJP leaders, former MLC Samrat Chaudhary, candidates of Tarapur, Mangal Pandey of Sijeev Chaurasia of Digha and Rajneesh Kumar of Teghra were made. The list of 71 names contains nine women, five scheduled cabinets and one scheduled stem candidate. BJP tried to give all sections in his first list of representation. Dalits, backward classes, extremely backward classes and women, are all included. The first list contains 17 OBCs, 11 extremely backward classes and nine women.
