Giza Governorate announced in a post on its official page on the social networking site Facebook, that water has been cut off from a number of areas for a period of 6 continuous hours, as the company is conducting some works for the fourth line of the subway.

Cut the water 6 hours for these areas in Giza

In its publication, Giza Governorate indicated that “in light of the implementation of the fourth line of the subway project, specifically at (Talbiya – Madkour – Press) in the Central Giza sector, the drinking water and sanitation company will convert the Qatar water line 300 mm in contrast to the project’s path in the northern side of the metro line.”

The Giza Governorate added in its publication, that the work scheduled for the fourth line of the metro requires the necessity of cutting water for a period of 6 continuous hours starting from 12 pm on Friday, the 20th of June 2025, until 6 am Saturday, the 21st of this month, noting that the areas affected by the water interruption are the areas between the streets and Faisal starting from the Survey Street to Ibn Battuta Street.

Providing a drinking water car

Giza Governorate indicated in its statement that the drinking water and sanitation company announced the provision of pure drinking water cars to move in the affected areas throughout the interruption period, stressing that in the event of any complaints or requests, it is possible to communicate with the hotline 125 from any land or mobile phone.

Giza Governorate called on citizens, hospital owners, bakeries, local units and government departments that they should manage their water needs during the interruption period, so that their work is not affected during this period.
