Bihar election: India Bloc will form Govt, claims Ashkhok before his visit to the poll-bound state

Bihar election 2025: Congress leader Ashkok Gehok expressed the confidence in the India Bloc’s victory on Tuesday before his visit to the polling state. The leader of the congress, who is also a senior observer for the Bihar election, will visit the state on Wednesday, where he will start fighting for the upcoming polls. “I’m going to Bihar tomorrow and will be busy with the campaign. We will go to the election arena together. I am confident that the India Bloc will form the government there. ‘ Senior Congress Leaders Ashklot, Bhupesh Baghel and Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury have been appointed senior observers for the Bihar election, a press release by the All India Congress Committee (AICC) said. Earlier Monday, the India’s Electoral Commission (ECI) announced the dates for the Bihar election. The 243 meeting seats will go to the polls on November 6 and November 11, with the score of votes to be held on November 14. The Chief Electoral Commissioner (CEC), Gyanesh Kumar, also informed that the ECI decided to perform a special intensive review (SIR) of the voters list following the announcement of the Bihar meeting schedule. The chief election commissioner addressed the press conferences, saying: “ECI has already made a decision to execute Sir across the country.” The opposition questions the credibility of the polls after the announcement. The senior leader of the congress, Pawan Khera, claimed that the Electoral Commission did not give satisfactory answers on the issue of revisions of the voters list, claiming that an unnecessary narrative was created around “infiltration”. ‘The Electoral Commission did not answer many critical questions. They created an atmosphere as if Bihar was infiltrated by people from Bangladesh and Nepal. But if they wipe names, they did not come up with a single name of any so -called infiltrator. Congress leader Rashid Alvi said he “has no confidence” that the poll would hold free and fair elections. “EC cannot be trusted. I am confident that EC will not keep fair elections in Bihar. If fair election is held in Bihar, the BJP-Nitish Kumar government will never come to power,” Alvi noted
