Begusarai, October 12 (IANS). In the Bihar election, all the political parties are fighting for one. In such a situation, the seat of the Sahebpur Kamal meeting of the Begusarai district is also very important. This seat is an important part of the seven constituencies of Begusarai, namely Cheriya Bariyarpur, Bachhwara, Teghra, Matihani, Sahebpur Kamal, Begusarai and Bakhri (SC). It is an agricultural area on the banks of the River Ganga. The cultivation of rice, wheat and maize is the backbone of the economy here, which has been going on for generations. Floods and a lack of irrigation remain challenges, but the River Bridge project approved in 2022 raised the hope. Geographically, it is connected to the track (Muzaffarpur-Darbhanga Line) and Road (NH-31). The district’s headquarters Begusarai is 30 km away, Khagaria is 20 km away, Samastipur is 30 km away and Patna is 120 km away. Despite the proximity of the Barauni industrial area, 80 percent of the population depends on agriculture. Politically, Sahebpur Kamal is among the new meetings of Bihar. It was founded after the delimitation of 2008. It is in Begusarai Lok Sabha selection section. Janata Dal (United) won the first election in 2010, but afterwards Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) won three times, including the 2014 by-election. Parveen defeated Srinarayan Yadav of RJD by 11.111 votes. Yadav later won the seat in 2014 and 2015. In 2020, RJD’s Satyanand Sambudh won by defeating JDU’s Rakesh Kumar with 14.225 votes. Just before 2020, Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) left the NDA and started a candidate from Sahebpur Kamal. This affected JDU’s voting percentage. Now Chirag Paswan’s LJP (Ram Vilas) is back to NDA. In the 2019 Sabha election, BJP received a slight lead of 1.453 votes here. The most positive aspect of Sahebpur Kamal is the growing voting percentage. It was 58.57 percent in 2015, which rose Sabha election of Lok Sabha to 62.33 percent and 62.87 percent in the 2020 election. A total of 1,56,563 votes were cast. The total population of the Sahebpur Kamal meeting constituency is 4,35,560, which includes 2,27,732 men and 2,07,828 females. A total of 2,68,879 voters are registered in the voters list, of which 1,41,320 are men, 1,27,553 women and 6 third gender voters. Talking about local issues, flood control, employment, migration and bridge projects will be prominent. –Is Sch/ABM
