This time rebel candidates from anywhere can be tough for NDA. At the same time, the challenge of the rebels is also no less in RJD. BJP’s Raghavendra Pratap Singh won from Badhara and Amarendra Pratap Singh won from Arrah. CPI(ML) won in Tarari and Agiaon, while RJD won in Jagdishpur, Sandesh and Shahpur. This time NDA is more united than before and Lok Janshakti Party (R) is also together. To reverse the score last time, NDA took a lot of effort to select the candidates. To win, the NDA voters also gave up their seats and JDU gave the reserved seat of its account, Agiaon, to BJP. BJP has made the party’s grassroots worker Mahesh Paswan its candidate from here. In such a situation, the challenge to NDA from the rebels is less. Still, rebels will give pain to BJP in Barhara. The party’s official candidate, the current MLA, is standing from here and the party’s state working committee member Suryabhan Singh, angry at not getting the ticket, has also filed his nomination. This time there is disunity in the grand alliance that fought unitedly in the last assembly election and this has also been reflected in the nominations. CPI(ML) fielded its candidates from Arrah, Agiaon and Tarari but no constituent party leaders and workers were seen in their nomination. At the same time, in Jagdishpur, Shahpur, Badhara and Sandesh, no major leader of CPI(ML) or Congress was represented in the nomination of RJD candidates. Local leaders and Congress workers are upset for not getting even a single seat in the district and are sharing their grief on the internet media. There is also a challenge to RJD from the rebels. Former party member Saroj Yadav filed nomination as an independent candidate in Badhara. This could hurt the party’s equation in Barhara. In the message, Agiaon block chief cum RJD leader Mukesh Yadav attacks the party’s official candidate. At the same time, leader Rajeev Ranjan, who was in the race for party tickets in Jagdishpur, has now revolted and is contesting as an independent candidate.
