Emphasis was placed on compliance with the Model Code of Conduct and monitoring of election expenditure. Five FIRs have been registered in the case of violation of property. To increase the voting percentage in the assembly election, the district election officer with district magistrate dr. Thyagarajan SM ordered 100% distribution of voter information slips to all the voters in Harhal five days before the polling date. The district magistrate gave this directive in a review meeting with senior and nodal officials of all 21 cells, 14 election officers and Senior Superintendent of Police and other administrative officers on Wednesday. During this, preparations related to compliance with the Model Code of Conduct, monitoring of election expenses, polling station facilities, home voting, postal voting, webcasting, voter list and identification, and voter awareness were reviewed. Five FIRs in property encroachment case: DM asked for complete adherence to model code of conduct and keeping a close watch on the incidents of property encroachment. He said that till Tuesday five FIRs have been registered in the case of encroachment of property in the district. In this, 1 FIR was filed in Barh and Paliganj assembly constituencies and 3 FIRs were filed in Digha assembly constituency. Issued to complain of excess expenditure, DM said that election expenditure of candidates and political parties should be monitored. Handle all complaints regarding expenditure limits or authorized election expenditure. About 20 enforcement agencies monitor online-offline transactions and movement of money. The District Level Election Expenditure Accounting and Monitoring Cell is active 24 hours for complaints related to the expenditure incurred by the candidates and the model code of conduct. Anyone can file a complaint about excess expenses or model code of conduct violation on the control room 0612-2999688, 2999693 or 2999694. Provide information on critical and sensitive cubicles within seven days. The district magistrate asked all the sub-divisional officers and sub-divisional police officers to give the list of critical polling stations within a week. The election officials who have not yet provided the list of sensitive polling stations must provide it immediately. In addition, planned action should be ensured regarding area demarcation, route march and security arrangements in sensitive areas.
