A total of 1698 candidates from different parties as well as independent candidates filed nominations in 121 assembly constituencies of 18 districts. Only the candidates found valid will get a chance to withdraw their nomination. Those whose nomination papers are found to be invalid or erroneous, their nomination papers will be cancelled.
