Bihar Elections: Geeta Pasi expressed gratitude to Jan Suraj for being appointed candidate from Mohania.

Mohania, October 16 (IANS). In view of Bihar elections, all political parties have started announcing the names of candidates. In this order, Jan Suraj gave ticket to Geeta Pasi from Mohania (scheduled) seat. Geeta Pasi thanked the party for this. BJP suffered a major setback in the Mohania assembly seat. Geeta Pasi, who was a Zilla Parishad member from Mohania in the district for the second time, left the party after not getting a ticket from BJP and joined Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraj Party. Jan Suraj has declared himself as his official candidate from Mohania assembly seat reserved for scheduled castes (SC). Geeta will file nomination on Friday. Announcing to contest the election on the symbol of Jan Suraj, Geeta Pasi was warmly welcomed in Mohania with drums and musical instruments. Local workers and supporters greeted him by hurling him. Geeta became emotional during the press conference after worshiping in the temple and started crying in the middle. He said, “The people of Mohania Assembly demanded my candidature for a long time. I joined BJP in 2023. I was included in BJP by securing a ticket but the promise was not fulfilled. Now Jan Suraj has given me a chance, so thank him for this opportunity.” He said that she would become the voice of the backward classes of the area, especially the Dalit community and would remain committed to development. Let us tell you that BJP recently released its third list of candidates, in which Sangeeta Kumari got a ticket from Mohania. Geeta Pasi got angry at this. Sangeeta Kumari also resigned from the party but later returned to BJP. –IANS SCH/DKP Share this story Tags
