Bihar: Under Nari Gunjan initiative, women moved from the Dalit society to self -sufficiency

Patna, September 19 (IANS). Many women from the Mushar community, an exceptionally poor part of the scheduled castors (SC) in Bihar, prepare them to fly to learning skills. Six women from the Mushar community of Danapur block of Patna successfully completed the training of car repair skills and were also honored by instructors. These trained professionals are affecting new heights and now pink buses are ready to drive. The initiative has been initiated by an organization called ‘Nari Gunjan’, which works on women’s education and self -sufficiency. The girls were honored at the closing ceremony held on campus in Lalkothi in Danapur, which comes from different towns in Patna and surrounding districts. On this occasion, the Secretary of the Bihar government, Vandana Beyasi congratulated all the students and wish a bright future. He said: “The determination and dedication with which Nari Gunjan showed the path of self -sufficiency to the daughters of the Mushar community is extremely inspiring. These boys have proven that every girl can demonstrate her talent and ability if they get the opportunity.” In this training offered from August 18 to September 16, he was trained in various aspects of the development of car skills. The Nari Gunjan scheme launched in 1987 serves as a ray of hope and empowerment for the most disadvantaged Mushar community at ground level. The main purpose of the organization is to lift the poorest, landless and rural women who have faced historically economic defect, social discrimination, political neglect and cultural invisibility.
