However, after the names of 65.63 Lakh people were removed under Sir, the concept voter list was released on August 1, 2025 and the final voters list will be released today on September 30, 2025. The voters list has been updated to Sir. The India’s Electoral Commission has announced remarkably to update the Bihar voter list for the Bihar meeting of 2025. For this, a special intensive review campaign (SIR) campaign was launched on June 25, 2025 in Bihar. The first phase was completed on July 31, 2025. The concept of the voter list was released on August 1, in which 65 Lakh names were removed and notices issued to 3 Lakh people. Before the start of Sir, there were 7.89 crore voters in Bihar. The process of new applications begins from October 1st. After the concept of the voters list, between August 1, 2025 and September 1, 2025, 16.93 Lakh people applied to add names to the voters list and 2.17 Lakh people applied to remove the name. The process of applications received from September 1 to September 30 begins from 1 October. Aadhaar -card is also valid to add names to the voters list. Those whose names are not included in the final list today can apply for up to ten days before the last date for enrollments for the submission of nominations. The Electoral Commission (EC) began reviewing the preparations for the 2025 Bihar meeting elections. The round of the meetings began. The Electoral Commission will now review the Electoral Preparations by talking to the Commissioner, IG, Dig, DM, SP and SSP of all 38 districts Bihar by video conferencing from 09:30 to 15:00 every day.
