Bird flu in koiya: In Korea district of Chhattisgarh, a situation of stirring has arisen due to increase in bird flu cases. After confirming the infection of the avian Empludanja in the government poultry farming area located in Baikunthpur in Korea district, the district administration has taken quick action and declared a kilometer area as an infected zone. At the same time, the area of one to 10 km has been declared “monitoring area”.
Action will be taken on those who spread rumors
Collector Chandan Tripathi informed through the press conference that after the report from the National Institute of High Security Animal Disease (NISAD) in Bhopal, the administration immediately held an emergency meeting. In which instructions were given to take necessary steps. At the same time, the Collector has appealed to the local citizens to avoid spreading any rumor, because during this time legal action will be taken on spreading any kind of rumor.
Ban on procurement of chicken-eggs
This instruction issued by Collector Chandan Tripathi will be effective for three months or up to the upcoming order, from Baikunthpur to Janakpur in East (one kilometer) east, Dharatikra in West direction to Dharatikra, Khuthanpara to Baikunthpur in north direction and Baikunthpur to MLA in south direction. At the same time, surveillance zone/monitoring area (1 to 10 km) will be from Mahora Bridge to Shankarpur, Chharcha Basti and Bargaon. Korea Collector Chandan Tripathi has said that the sale of chicken eggs from poultry curse will be stopped within a radius of one kilometer. Along with this, an appeal has been made to the people, people of Baikunthpur city area have been appealed not to buy chicken eggs.
Ban on poultry products
The movement of poultry products from the infected zone has been completely banned. Apart from this, the markets and shops of poultry and co -products (cock, eggs etc.) have been closed in Surveillans Zone. Door-to-door delivery has also been stopped. Also, markets, shops and door-to-door delivery of poultry products have also been closed in Surverse Zone.
The collector said that in the event of 31 March 2025, 2,487 nos adults, stock chickens/ chickens, 2,448 fed quail birds, 9,998 nos poultry chickens, 19095 poultry eggs, 200 quail eggs and 7500 kg of poultry have been destroyed. The collector informed that Oceltamivir tablets are being distributed regularly to each employee. He informed that purchase and sale has been banned during bird flu.
District control room established
The collector informed that continuous investigation is being conducted to stop bird flu. Poultry forms will also be investigated within a radius of 10 km, along with the district Surajpur, Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur, Bilaspur road will be investigated by applying barrier. The collector informed that private shopkeepers who will be given chickens, chicks will be given compensation as per rules.
