BJP Mlas claims president's reign will end in Manipur soon

IMPHAL, OCTOBER 11 (IANS). Five BJP MLAs, who returned to Imhal on Saturday after meeting the central leaders in Delhi, expressed the hope of forming the government in Manipur soon. President’s reign has been in power in Manipur for the past 8 months. About 26 BJPMAs of Manipur went to Delhi last week and early this week to meet the central leaders of the party and encourage them to form a popular government in the state as early as possible. Of these, five BJP MLAs returned to Manipur on Saturday, but most of the MAs are still in Delhi. The MLAs include the former chief minister N Biren Singh, the speaker of the Manipur meeting Satyabrata Singh, former ministers Thongam Biswajit Singh, Sapam Ranjan Singh, Heikham Dingo, Yumkham Khemchand, Contoujam Govindas and Mla Karam Shyam. The MLAs held a meeting with BJP’s north-eastern in-Charge and Lok Sabha MP Sambit Patra and National Secretary-General of the Party, BL Santosh, in Delhi. MLA Karam Shyam said that Sambit Patra and BL Santosh assured him of positive intentions to restore the elected government. He said that the recent discussions clearly reflect the concern and dedication of the central leadership of the party. Karam Shyam said that very little mention was made of the recovery of the popular government in the talks, but this time Sambit Patra and BL Santosh showed clear interest in this case. We hope the government will be formed soon. Former minister Sapam Ranjan Singh said the main purpose of the delegation was to judge the central leaders over the political and security situation in Manipur and to push for the early recovery of an elected government. We have emphasized the importance of forming a popular government to ensure stability and trust in the public. The discussions were positive and we hope soon on a favorable result. BJP MLA Thaunaojam Shyamkumar said earlier that the people of Manipur want a popular government. Shyamkumar said that the situation in the state is now absolutely normal. If a popular government is formed in the state, it would be better to deal with the situation and carry out development and welfare works for the benefit of the people of the state. Let us tell you, before the imposition of the president’s reign in Manipur, there was a BJP-led coalition government in the state led by the former chief minister a Biren Singh. –Is PSK shares this story tags
