The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released its third list of 18 candidates for the upcoming Bihar meeting on Wednesday night, which Bina Devi of Kochadhaman Seat and Sanjay Pandey of Narkatiaganj. With this, the BJP has so far announced names of a total of 101 candidates for the polls. The third list comes hours after the party announced the names of 12 candidates in the second list, including singer Maithili Thakur of Alinagar seat and former IPS officer Anand Mishra of Buxar. The party released the first list of 71 candidates for the election on Tuesday, while the Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, from Tarapur and Lakhisarai seats and six state ministers respectively. The first list also contains nine women’s candidates, including sitting Minister Renu Devi, who will seek re-election at the Bettiah meeting constituency. The election for the 243 member Bihar meeting will be held in two phases on November 6 and 11. The score of votes will take place on November 14. Earlier in the day, Bihar’s chief minister Nitish Kumar (U) announced his first list of 51 candidates. Meanwhile, Suheldev Bharatiya Sama Party (SBSP), an NDA bundle in Uttar Pradesh, also released the list of 48 candidates for the first phase. “We wanted to strengthen the NDA in Bihar, but because of the non -reaction of the BJP government unit, we couldn’t get away with the alliance,” Arvind Rajbhar, National Secretary of the SPSP, told reporters here.
