Khaled Masali, a laboratory specialist at the first Riyadh Health Assembly, noted the benefits of blood donation.
He stressed that donating blood protects against heart disease by more than 75%, according to what he mentioned during his speech on the “News” channel.
He explained that the blood donation protects the donor from diseases such as the blockage of the arteries and tear vessels, as well as enhances the support and protection of the heart, and renews red blood cells.
He stressed that these benefits will be obtained by the donor even if he donates only once in his life.
