Report: "SpaceX" takes on an industrial satellite network for US intelligence
Spaxx, attached to Elon Musk, builds a network of hundreds of satellites for spying purposes under a secret contract with the US Intelligence Agency, reports Reuters, with five people familiar with the program. Reuters said the Starshield unit of “Starshield” builds the network as part of a $ 1.8 billion contract signed with the national reception office in 2021. The new spying system contains hundreds of satellites that have earth photographic capabilities and can work as a swarm in low orbits, according to the news agency. Reuters has published that the contract indicates the strengthening of the relationship between the billionaire spacecraft and the US state security agencies. The SpaceX or the National Exchange Office immediately did not respond to the suspension requests sent to the usual working hours. Last year, the national reception office said it intended to increase the number of spacecraft to four times by 2033.
