BLT extended to 35 million KPM, Minister of Social Affairs warns not to use it for Judol

Jakarta – The government continues the Direct Cash Assistance (BLT) program until the end of the year, expanding the reach to 35 million beneficiary families (KPM). Minister of Social Affairs, Saifullah Yusuf (Gus Ipul) reminded recipients not to use assistance for online gambling (online gambling). Gus Ipul revealed that there was an addition of up to 16 million KPM in the stimulus distribution at the end of this year. The total cost paid out by the government also increased by IDR 30 trillion. With this addition, the total budget for BLT issued by the government is more than IDR 100 trillion. “The previous budget of Rp. 71 trillion has been increased by more than Rp. 30 trillion, so there is about Rp. 100 trillion more, which is divided among those in deciles 1, 2, 3 and 4 according to the single national social and economic data, managed by BPS,” said Gus Ipul in Cikini, 17250, Central Jakarta, on Friday. Don’t let it be used to play judol and other interests,” he said. “I think this is the first time in history that the provision of social assistance has exceeded IDR 100 trillion,” Gus Ipul continued. Previously, the government announced a fourth economic stimulus, one of which was to continue BLT. This time the assistance targets 35,046,783 beneficiary families who fall in the decile 1-4 category in the National Socio-economic Single Data (DTSN). “This is higher than the previous BLT and can reach about 140 million people. If we assume that one KPM is a father, mother and two children. And it is decile 1 to 4 based on social data from the national economic census,” he said.
