Jakarta – The National Border Management Agency (BNPP) held a social service to commemorate the 15th anniversary. Interior Minister Tito Karnavian hopes that the moment of this commemoration will be a reminder, so that BNPP continues to strengthen the surveillance of the border area and encourage the acceleration of development. “The 15 -year anniversary of the Indonesian BNPP is a reminder to continue to maintain a commitment in managing the country’s border. Tito encouraged the acceleration of the development in the border area,” Tito said in his statement Tuesday (9/16/2025). The delivery of food packages was centered in the RPTRA Pulo Gundul building to residents of Tanah Tinggi Village, Johar Baru district, Central -Jakarta. In addition, this activity was also attended by the inspector general of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Director General of Urban Housing, the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas, as well as the ranks of BNPP RI officials, and the Jakarta provincial government, which also provided full support for the implementation of the social service. The distribution of food packages also involved coordination with Tanah Tinggi Village, Johar Baru district, Koramil 08/Johar Baru and the Johar Baru Metro Sector Police. As a non-structural institution formed on the basis of Act number 43 of 2008 regarding the area of the state, BNPP RI has an important responsibility in the management and supervision of the borders of the country, both on land and at sea. In addition to maintaining sovereignty, BNPP RI also plays a role in developing the economic, social and cultural potential of border communities, as well as infrastructure development that supports the improvement of well -being.
