Atatishi wrote a letter to CM Relha Gupta against the increase in private school fees in Delhi
New -Delhi, April 9 (IANS). The big increase of fee by private schools recently in Delhi has broken the back of the middle -class parents. In this case, the AAM AADMI party claimed an in -depth connection between the ruling BJP and private schools. The leader of the opposition in the Delhi Lawyer Assembly, Atatishi, wrote a letter to Chief Minister Velha Gupta demanding him to seriously investigate the whole case and stop the increased fees immediately. The letter states that many private schools in Delhi have suddenly raised their fees manifold over the past few months, which is very upset. He claimed that strict control of the fees’ increase in the 10 -year term of the AAM AADMI party government was placed and that the education mafia had been tightened, but since the establishment of the new government in February 2025, private schools have been opened. Atatathi said the name Bharat Arora, chair of the Private Schools “Action Committee for Private Schools”, comes out behind this unbridled fee increase. Arora not only fought legal battles to raise fees for years, but is a member of the Delhi BJP executive and also leads the BJP teacher. Her positions on social media confirm that she actively participated in the campaign of Chief Minister Velha Gupta, who disputed from Shalimar Bagh. The former Delhi chief minister claimed that a meeting was last held on April 6 between the Minister of Education in Delhi and representatives of private schools, which were alleged to be assured that the fees would be allowed to increase the fees after the demonstration stopped. It is said that by a notice, the government is approved by a 10 percent fee increase every year without an audit. In this entire case, the AAM AADMI party has made four major claims before Chief Minister Relha Gupta. In addition to limiting increased fees with immediate effect, there was also a claim to return the amount to the parents who had already paid the increased fees. Atatishi wrote that the audit of the various schools must be made compulsory before any fee increase and a fair investigation into the impact of Bharat Arora in the Ministry of Education and the Directorate of Education. The AAM AADMI party warned that if the government left quiet in this case, the party would take the streets and protest against the parents. The party says that this issue is not just about fees, but also about millions of children and the burden on the pockets of parents. -Ians pkt/Ekd shares this story tags
