We’re glad to see that Jon was able to get out of his contract as well NBC’s artist in residence to make this happen. Bon Jovi will be making a return to the road in 2026, an announcement that comes after several years of uncertainty for the band’s touring future owing to Jon’s vocal-cord surgery and difficult recovery period. The band, which still does not include Richie Sambora, will be performing four nights at Madison Square Garden in July — the same month as Rush’s quartet of reunion shows, coincidentally — before jetting off for three additional dates in Ireland, Scotland, and England. “I’ve spoken extensively on my gratitude but I will say it again, I’m deeply grateful that the fans and the brotherhood of this band have been patient and allowed me the time needed to get healthy and prepare for touring,” Jon said in a statement. “I’m ready and excited!” Bon Jovi released their newest album, Forever, last year to a favorable No. 5 position charts; it was able to be recorded while Jon was recovering from his surgery and being delicate with his voice. A Hulu documentary from 2024, in part, followed the band during this time period and their skepticism of performing live ever again. But they held on, ready or not, and will be back.
