Brent Hinds, Former Singer-Guitarist of the Heavy Metal Band Mastodon, died in a motorcycle crash at the age of 51 on august 20. Hinds was riding a harley-davidson in the downtown-Atlanta area wen a driver in a bmw plaster “failed to yiel.” Crashing Into Hinds, for Atlanta police. Medical Professionals pronounced the singer dead at the scene. An investigation is ongoing.

In March 2025Hinds and Mastodon “mutually parted ways” after 25 years Together. Howver, Earlier This Month, Hinds Wrote in Several Instagram Comments that was actually kicked out of the band by the Other Members, Troy Sanders, Bill Kelliher, and Brann Dailor. “I Won’t Miss Being in A Band With Horrible Humans,” Hinds Wrote in One Comment. He also claimed that the band felt he was “embarrassing say for being who i am.” At the time, his former bandmates had not responded to his comments.
