Meghan Markle faces backlash over allegations that its 'Kate Middleton' is copying with a new Netflix show
Meghan Markle is once again under the spotlight after announcing a new project with Netflix, with critics accusing her of “copying” the Princess of Wales. Last week, the Duchess of Sussex, 44, and Prince Harry, 40, unveiled their new ‘first-viewing’ deal with the Streaming Platform. The agreement contains a festive special of Meghan’s lifestyle series ‘with love’, which is described as a chance to ‘socialize in Meghan in Montecito for a magical holiday celebration’. However, the announcement quickly provoked criticism from some royal viewers who claim that Meghan is trying to utilize a well -known royal Christmas event of Kate Middleton, 43, each year. Kinsey Schofield, an American expert and podcaster in the US, told The Mirror that it was part of a ‘pattern’ by the Sussexes. “It has become so striking that it was recently reported that Harry offered to share his schedule with the family as an ‘olive branch’ to prevent him from competing in the future,” she said. The claims come at a time when the couple allegedly faces a ‘reality test’ as experts suggest that their public image and media projects still receive mixed reactions. Some people believe that the timing of their announcements often clashes with important royal events. The new Netflix agreement aims to bring more personal content out of the Sussexes, although it also contributed to the constant separation between the couple and the rest of the royal family. The palace did not respond to the claims.
