New Delhi, October 20 (IANS). On the occasion of Diwali, the festival of lights, wishes pour in from all over the world. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Monday greeted people on the occasion of Diwali and Bandi Chhod day. On his recent visit to India, Starmer said he lit a lamp in Mumbai, which is a symbol of commitment, joy and new relationships. He wrote on social media platform The British High Commissioner in India celebrated Diwali, with embassy officials dressing up in Indian attire to mark the occasion. In the photos shared on ‘X’, British High Commissioner to India Lindy Cameron was seen making rangoli. Wishing people, Cameron wrote in the ‘Be full of light’.” The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Ukraine also sent greetings on Diwali. “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine extends its warm wishes to all who celebrate Diwali. This festival symbolizes the victory of good over evil and hope over despair. May the light always shine,” MFA wrote in the ‘X’ post. Along with this, Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs also wished Diwali to the people of India and around the world. The ministry wrote, “As millions of people across India light lamps to celebrate the victory of light over darkness, Ishanti extends his warmest wishes for rebirth and hope. May the lights of Diwali shine on both homes and hearts. From Jerusalem to Delhi and beyond, may this festival of lights inspire us all to keep faith in a better future.
