Mumbai, April 26 (IANS). Another great achievement was recorded in the construction work of Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Corridor. The first 100-meter team of the 100m long steel bridge was successfully launched on National Highway-48 (NH-48) near Nadiad in Gujarat. NH-48 is one of the country’s busiest highways with six lanes and connects subways such as Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai. The first team of Steel Bridge, which was built under this ‘make in India’ initiative, was slipped to about 200 meters and installed at three lanes between the highway. The launch process was performed in a very planned way with the aim of maintaining traffic on this route with very busy traffic and to ensure a minimal discomfort for road users. The features of this steel team of the bridge are very impressive. Its length is 100 meters and the width is 14.3 meters and the height is 14.6 meters. The weight is about 1414 mt. This large steel bridge is built in the Salazar workshop near Hapur in Uttar Pradesh and is designed for a 100 -year service period. The construction uses 57,200 tor-reger-type high strength bolts, C5 system paintings and elastomer camps. The bridge was installed at a height of 14.9 meters on temporary trasts and was launched by Mac alloy bars and two-cm automatic connection (every 250 tonnes of capacity). A total of 28 steel bridges are proposed for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Corridor, of which 17 are built in Gujarat and 11 in Maharashtra. So far, the success of 7 steel bridges on Railway, DFCC tracks, highways and industrial areas has been completed in Gujarat. With this achievement, the work of infrastructure for India’s first bullet train project is more speed, which will provide future speed and quality to the country’s rail network. -Ians DSC/CBT Share this story Tags
