Mumbai Rain: Two overcrowded monorail trains in Mumbai were stopped after falling on the increased tracks between stations on Tuesday night during heavy rainfall across the city. More than 700 passengers were rescued from the incidents. Here are the best updates – how many passengers are saved? According to officials, 582 passengers were rescued from a monorail train between Mysore Colony and Bhakti Park with Snorkelladders. In addition, 200 others were evacuated from another monorail train that was successfully dragged to nearby Wadala station, Pti reports. Of the 582 rescued passengers from the train stranded between Mysore Colony and Bhakti Park, the choking of 23 passengers was treated by the on board the doctor, and they may go. Our priority was to prevent panic from turning into tragedy,” he said. While referring to a similar incident in 2021, Ambelkar said: “We kept in mind the fire incident during the last monorail rescue and ensure that all precautions were in place this time.” He added: “Rescue teams broke open windows and opened the doors to evacuate passengers, starting with women and senior citizens. The last preference was given to young men. Medical help was also mobilized on the site.” What did CM Devendra Fadnavis say? Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis shared in a post on X details about the incident. “For some technical reason, there is a monorail between Chembur and Bhakti Park. MMRDA, the fire department and the municipal corporation, all agencies, reached the place. The biggest priority is given to the safety of all passengers,” Fadnavis wrote. He further added: “Therefore, no one should be worried or panicked. All passengers will be safely evacuated. I request everyone to stay patient.
