Cat Tries to Jump on Running Treadmill, 13 Million Watch Hilarious Result – ryan

A cat’s epic failure of trying to join its owner on the treadmill quickly went viral, bringing in over 13.9 million views as of Friday afternoon.

Chandler Newsome attempted to work out without being disturbed by his cats. He hopped on the treadmill and started running barefoot to get his cardio in for the day, but he wasn’t alone. One of his cats followed closely behind, intrigued by what he was doing.

One would think the pounding of the feet and the treadmill’s constant movement would deter cats, but his feline didn’t mind. He wanted to be his owner’s workout buddy.

In the video posted to TikTok by @chandler.newsome4 on April 2, Newsome’s cat sat next to the treadmill and watched in amazement before wanting to test it out himself. He jumped to where the treadmill started, but instantly, his paws gave out. The treadmill won as his body rolled onto its side and quickly moved him to the back and off.

Newsome showed his own cat-like reflexes by immediately jumping up and holding himself onto the treadmill handles while his cat sailed underneath. He placed his feet on the sides to look around and check what had happened to his cat. His jaw dropped once he processed the incident.

The video’s caption reads: “Little man couldn’t keep up.”

Thankfully, his cat immediately shook off the embarrassing failure and returned to the start of the treadmill. He looked as if he was ready for round two with the plan to stick the landing.

TikTok Users React

The TikTok video instantly became a hit among viewers, bringing in over 1.9 million likes and 4,481 comments. Users on the social media platform were impressed with the cat’s determination to try again and Newsome’s reaction.

One user wrote: “10/10 for avoiding the fur child.”

A second commented: “Cat parent level expert.”

A third posted: “The way the cat got launched, reset, and came back like it was part of the mission.”

Several people became worried about the feline, as they pointed out a bit of cat fur floated around Newsome’s feet after the fall. However, a follow-up video of the incident posted to TikTok confirmed that the cat was just fine.
