Amazon sets out the introduction of its satellites for space internet services
Amazon.com expects the launch of its first satellites to broadcast internet service from space in the fourth quarter of this year, after it was intended to do so in the first half of this year. The company now intends to start the first tests of its customers, ‘Project Kuper’ in 2025, according to the head of production operations, Steve Metaire, during the opening event of the Amazon Satellite Production Facility in the Seattle suburbs. The commercial service, which can be limited when hundreds of “Amazon” satellites are present in space, will begin later in 2025. Note that the company has previously said that the service will start next year. Amazon eventually aims to provide a wide variety of internet from a constellation of more than 3,000 satellites, to compete with the “Starlink” grandeur Illon Mask. The company launched two first models in October, but it is now trying to stop its use while working to boost the manufacture in its Kirkend, Washington factory, which will eventually produce up to five satellites per day.
