CBI action in case of corruption in medical accounts, accused was arrested
Nagpur, October 8 (IANS). The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has taken major steps in the case of corruption in medical bills. The central investigation agency registered a case against the medical superintendent of Vekoli and a private chemist. The CBI has a corruption case against the medical superintendent of the Western Coal Field Limited (Wecoli) dispenser at Coal Estate in Civil Lines, Nagpur and the owner of a private medical store in Nagpur for their alleged involvement in making fraudulent medical accounts. The CBI arrested Dr Prithvi Krishna Patta, medical superintendent of Western Coal Field Limited (WCL), and Kamlesh n Lalwani, owner of Sadhguru Medical Stores, Nagpur. The FIR claims that the accused medical superintendent prepared false medical prescriptions, which were used by the owner of the private medical store to raise inflated accounts and receive payment from Vecoli. It is also alleged that the accused medical superintendent has committed fraud by adding expensive medicine to the patients after issuing the prescriptions without their knowledge. Based on these forged documents, bloated accounts were paid to the private medical stores by the Vecli headquarters, Nagpur.
