Ahmedabad plane crash: The work to complete DNA samples from corpses will take place over 72 hours

Ahmedabad, June 13 (IANS). The work to take DNA samples from corpses is complete to identify passengers who have lost their lives in a plane crash in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Their identity became difficult because the body was burned badly in the accident. In such a situation, they will be identified by matching family members through DNA test. According to the information, all the bodies from the Postmortem House were removed and kept in cool storage, so that the bodies are preserved until the DNA report comes. The DNA report is expected to come within the next 72 hours. After the report comes, DNA will be mixed with the DNA of the families of the passengers and then the bodies of the deceased will be handed over to their families. Let me tell you that these Air India aircraft, which flew from Ahmedabad to go to London on Thursday, were 230 passengers and 12 members of the crew. In this accident, only one passenger Vishwas Kumar Ramesh survived, who was on seating number 11a and sat near the emergency exit. He is a British citizen of Indian origin. After the accident, the state government aimed at immediately starting relief and rescue operations. ‘Green Corridor’ was created to ensure the immediate medical system for the injured and to ensure treatment on priority base in hospitals. Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached the place on Friday and tackled the situation. He examined the scene for about 20 minutes and investigated the officials involved in assistance work and NDRF teams. He then went to the Civil Hospital in Ahmedabad, where he met the injured, asked about his health, and also spoke to the surviving passenger Vishwas Kumar Ramesh. Some of the injured in the hospital were some residence students.
