CBI's most important action against builders: raids in Kolkata, Bengaluru, Mumbai
New -Delhi, September 27 (IANS). The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has started great action against the builders of Kolkata, Bangalore and Mumbai with the allegations of fraud of home buyers and Nexus with financial institutions officials. Based on the Supreme Court, the CBI registered 6 separate cases and performed a search operation at a total of 12 places in the three subways. In fact, thousands of home buyers across the country have beaten the Supreme Court by cheating on builders and developers and then forcibly recovering from financial institutions. During the hearing on these petitions, the Supreme Court regarded the alleged impure Nexus between builders and financial institutions as serious. The court found that the builders and the financial institutions were fooling home buyers. In this context, in April 2025, the Supreme Court ordered the CBI to register 7 preliminary investigation. The CBI has completed 6 preliminary investigation from 7, related to the builders of the National Capital Region (NCR). A status report has been filed in the Supreme Court on these cases. After this, on the basis of the court, the CBI has registered 22 regular cases against various NCR builders, whose investigation is currently underway. The CBI told The Pressist on Saturday that the seventh preliminary investigation, which was associated with the builders outside the NCR, was completed. The status report on this was presented in the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court ordered the CBI to register 6 regular cases against the builders of Kolkata, Bangalore and Mumbai and unknown financial institutions officials. After the instructions, the CBI registered 6 cases and attacked 12 places in all three cities. Several important documents and digital evidence were recovered during the attack. According to CBI sources, the search operation is still underway and the investigation is conducted. This action of the CBI leaves questions not only about the role of builders and developers, but also financial institutions.
