The Chief Defense President (CDS) -General Anil Chauhan on Monday, who emphasizes the changing nature of the modern war in light of the distance between the ‘kinetic’ and ‘non -citizen’ war, said it increased the need for advanced and integrated technical solutions. General Chauhan made this remark in his address during the first Tri-Seva Academic Technology Seminar (T-SAT) held at Manexhaw Center in Delhi Cantt. The purpose of this seminar is to establish coordination in service academic research and development ecosystem for the development of important specific technologies for national defense. According to the statement issued by the Ministry of Defense, the CDS emphasizes the important role of education, commencement and industry to develop indigenous capacity in forums, weapons, networks and principles to meet the future campaign claims. He asked to adopt the attitude of the whole country and insisted on promoting innovation from the education world and to be committed to leading India to the development of defense technologies of the next generation. According to the statement, in his speech, General Chauhan emphasized the changing nature of the modern war, which resulted from a distance between “kinetic” and “non-citizen” war and said it increased the need for advanced and integrated technical solutions. Physical powers and weapons are used directly to achieve military or political objectives in the ‘kinetic’ war and to do the enemy major damage. At the same time, the enemy is targeted by indirect, non-physical means such as cyber attacks, propaganda campaign and economic restrictions in ‘non-economic’ war. The Ministry of Defense said the T-SATS emphasized the coordination in service academic research and development ecosystem for the development of unique and future technologies for the Indian military. The seminar was inaugurated by General Chauhan. It was attended by directors and heads of academic and important research and development institutions, as well as students of 62 institutions, including IITs, IIITs and private technology institutes.
