BJP targeted the congress TMC in Tripura, 'Waqf Reform Janagaran Abhiyan' announced

Agartala, April 17 (IANS). In Tripura, the BJP arranged a high -level workshop in the Ravindra Shatabdi Bhawan in Agartala on Thursday, which aims to formulate a strategy for a public awareness campaign across the state regarding the WAQF amendment law. During this time, the party launched a stunning attack on the congress and the Trinamol Congress (TMC) of the Muslim community deception. Several senior leaders, including Chief Minister, dr. Manik Saha, former chief minister and MP Kumar Deb, the president of the BJP, Rajiv Bhattacharya, and BJP national secretary Anil K Antony were present in the workshop. Former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb has accused the congress and TMC of protecting the corruption in WAQF directions, saying that these parties oppose the necessary reforms for political profits. “The real purpose of the opposition is to prevent transparency and use a minority community as a voting bank,” he said. The BJP State President and MP Rajiv Bhattacharya said that the new WAQF law is a big step towards transparency and that it will have real benefits for poor and underprivileged Muslims. He said: “The opposition only spreads confusion, while we want to bring the truth to the last person of society.” During the event, the BJP announced the ‘WAQF Reformation Janagaran Abhiyan’, including the party among the minority communities across the state and give the right information about this law and respond to the ‘misleading propaganda’ of the opposition. Let us know that in areas such as Sati, Dhulian, Jangipur and Shamshermanj of Murshidabad, protests against WAQF Act have become violent in the past. The protesters set fire to vehicles, damaged shops and homes, followed by police. The local administration deployed the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) to control the situation and has also suspended internet services in some areas. Hundreds of people were displaced during the violence, many of them took refuge in the neighboring Malda district. -Ians DSC/CBT Share this story Tags
